Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH)

Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing is a non-profit financial intermediary that provides developers of affordable housing with access to capital markets. Created in 1989, OCCH has raised over $1.8 billion in equity investment, financed more than 24,000 units of affordable housing, and assisted in the creation of more than 425 affordable projects.

 

Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA)

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) makes affordable housing opportunities available to low- to moderate-income Ohioans, including first-time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens, and other populations with special needs. Formerly a division of the Ohio Department of Development, OHFA became an independent state agency on July 1, 2005 through Amended Substitute House Bill (HB) 431. OHFA's independent status allows them to institute cost-saving measures and achieve efficiencies to better serve Ohio's long-term affordable housing needs.

 

Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in OHIO (COHHIO)

COHHIO has provided voice for the underrepresented for more than 30 years, originating as the Ohio Housing Coalition (formed in 1974), then merging in 1994 with the Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (formed in 1984). With a mission of ending homelessness and promoting affordable housing, COHHIO is involved in a range of housing assistance services in Ohio, including homeless prevention, emergency shelters, transitional housing and permanent affordable housing with linkages to supportive services. COHHIO assists hundreds of housing organizations and homeless service providers in Ohio through public policy advocacy, training and technical assistance, research and public education.

 

Community Research Partners

Community Research Partners is a unique nonprofit research, evaluation, and data center based in Columbus that strengthens Ohio communities through data, information, and knowledge. Since 2000, CRP has undertaken over 230 projects for philanthropic, government, and nonprofit organizations, both within and outside of central Ohio. CRP works in a wide range of fields, including education, employment, health, housing, safety, poverty, human services, community development, and race and diversity.

CRP is a partnership of United Way of Central Ohio, the City of Columbus, Franklin County, and The Ohio State University. CRP is the Ohio partner agency for the national Working Poor Families project, funded by the Joyce Foundation, and is a partner in the Urban Institute's National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership.

As a data intermediary committed to the advancement of Ohio communities, CRP's organizational mission aligns well with the Compact's mission to preserve affordable housing. CRP is building the Compact a high quality, searchable database of Ohio's federally assisted housing stock to serve as a reference tool for developers and the public, as well as the Compact partners. The database is intended as a means of tracking risk and opportunities as the Compact pursues its goal of preserving thousands of units of affordable housing over the next decade.
